RankSniper ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

We collect the following information:
- Account information: Email address, password (hashed), and business name when you create an account
- Phone number: If you opt in to SMS alerts (Pro plan only)
- Payment information: Processed by Stripe — we never store your card details
- Usage data: Number of AI responses generated per month
- Contact messages: Name, email, and message if you contact us
- Response history: AI-generated review responses you copy or paste, saved to your account for your own reference
We do not collect or store:
- Your business profile settings (stored locally in Chrome's secure storage)
- Any browsing history or activity outside of our Service
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send SMS review alerts (if opted in)
- To send account-related emails (verification, password reset, bi-weekly reports)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve our Service
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — secure database hosting for account data
- Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy)
- Twilio — SMS delivery for review alerts. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS alerts are never shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes.
- Google Gemini API — AI response generation (your review text is sent to Google's API when you click "Draft AI Response")
- Review monitoring service — used to detect new Google reviews and trigger SMS alerts
- Railway — server hosting
- Resend — transactional email delivery
4. SMS Communications
If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to SMS alerts, you consent to receive text messages from RankSniper notifying you when your business receives a new Google review. Message frequency varies based on the number of reviews your business receives. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile phone numbers are never shared with third parties or used for any purpose other than sending review alert notifications. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. 5. Data Security
We take security seriously. Your password is hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Your business profile data is stored locally in your browser. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Contact messages are retained for 12 months.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of SMS alerts at any time by replying STOP
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies — only what is necessary for authentication (storing your login token in localStorage). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
RankSniper is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
